The Sky City RV Park in Acoma, N.M., was unveiled during a soft opening in late May. The 42-site, state-of-the-art RV park is located on I-40, about 50 miles west of Albuquerque and adjacent to the Sky City Casino and Hotel.
All of the park’s full-service spaces are designed for large motorhomes towing other vehicles. Other amenities include a clubhouse with whirlpool spa, meeting spaces, showers, laundry facilities, convenience store, information booth and outdoor barbecue and patio with views of nearby Mt. Taylor, said Phil Robertson, business manager for Acoma Business Enterprises.
A grand opening is planned for August.
Owners hope to expand the park by another 40 spaces at a later date, he added.
The new park is located in Cibola County near the longest uninterrupted stretch of Route 66 in New Mexico and will become tourism headquarters for day trips throughout the Acoma Valley and Cibola County, he predicted.
