Washington County, Ore., got a big boost in recreational amenities last week with the opening of the 1,654-acre Stub Stewart State Park, the first new state park in the Oregon system with a full-service campground in more than 30 years, according to the Hillsboro Argus.
The $18 million investment in the park brings more than 100 campsites, designed especially for full-service RV stays, equestrians, tent campers and groups. The camping season will extend year-round with 25 camper cabins.
