The Kingman, Ariz.-based firm lists its Guide to Military Campgrounds and RV Parks at These are also referred to as FamCamps.
Each campground has a different set of criteria as to who qualifies to use it but the general idea behind it is provide lower cost camping options for active military, veterans and their families. Some spots are available for as low as $3 with some extremely popular locations going as high as $21 a night. placed more than 200 military campgrounds on a U.S. map, zooming out to include locations in Alaska and Hawaii. From there, a visitor can click on either the map icon or the proper name of the facility on the right hand scroll bar to bring up more detailed information. This may include a link to websites when they exist, fee ranges, number of sites, seasons of operation and a phone number. lists all kinds of lodging, from primitive campgrounds and RV parks to luxury hotels and spa resorts.
