RPTIA Adopts HUD Formaldehyde Standard

The Recreation Park Trailer Industry Association (RPTIA) has adopted the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standard for formaldehyde emissions from wood products in manufactured homes for RVs its members build. The RPTIA board, meeting Oct. 26 at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., unanimously approved requiring members to meet the HUD standard of 0.2 parts per million (ppm) for plywood and 0.3 ppm for particle board by Jan. 1 as a requirement of membership in the organization. Ohio Deploys $296,000 into Campground

State funds totaling $296,000 were released by the Ohio Controlling Board to support renovations at the Camp Perry Training Site campgrounds in Ottawa County east of Toledo in northwest Ohio, State Sen. Randy Gardner, R-Bowling Green, announced on Monday (Oct. 29). Leisure Systems Inc., franchisor of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park camp-resorts, has recognized the need to expand its camping options and continues to increase its full-service rental cabins across a number of its camp-resorts.
