Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) has announced plans to hold its second annual RV Resort & Campground Conference & Expo Jan. 21- 23 at the InterContinental Hotel in New Orleans, La.
The three-day conference will feature educational seminars on the latest trends affecting private membership parks as well as commercial parks that are open to the public. Motivational speaker Andy Cohen will provide the keynote address while Gary LaBella, vice president of public relations and advertising for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), will discuss the national GoRVing Coalition’s ongoing marketing campaign and the extent to which private parks can become more involved in it.
Other speakers include Derrick Crandall, president of the American Recreation Coalition (ARC), and Grant Miller, president of AGI’s club division, who noted that the conference will provide numerous opportunities for campground operators to network with representatives from AGI’s publishing, retail and camping club divisions.
“This conference is specifically geared to people who do business with AGI in some way,” Miller stated. “It’s a way for us to have a real dialogue with our business-to-business partners. We can hear their concerns and identify new business opportunities. It’s a real opportunity to exchange ideas. If you have a relationship with AGI, I think it’s really critical that you be there.”
Senior executives from AGI’s publishing, retail and camping club operations plan to attend the conference, including representatives from Woodall’s North American Campground Directory, Trailer Life RV Parks, Campgrounds & Services Directory, the Camping World chain of RV aftermarket stores, as well as the Good Sam Club, Camp Club USA, Coast to Coast Resorts and Golf Card International.
The conference will also provide an opportunity for AGI to further address its new strategic partnership with Barbados-based Digital Rez International, which is now offering online reservations and web-based front desk management services to private parks listed in the Woodall’s and Trailer Life campground directories.
