Ohio Owners Hold Fun Day and Park Tour
The Annual Fall Fun Day and Park Operators on Tour for the Ohio Campground Owners Association (OCOA) was held Oct. 16-17 at the Holiday Inn/Roberts Centre in Wilmington, Ohio, with over 25 campgrounds represented.
On Oct. 16, the group participated in the “Fun Day” aboard the Belle of Cincinnati, a luxury riverboat with Victorian décor and lavish details, for a lunch cruise. Following the cruise, members had time to explore the shops and sites at Newport on the Levy before heading back to the hotel.
On Wednesday morning they headed off on the tour. Hosts this year were Enon Beach Campground, Springfield; Dayton Tall Timbers KOA, Brookeville; Frontier Campground, Waynesville; Cedarbrook Campground, Lebanon; Olive Branch Campground, Oregonia; and Beechwood Acres, Wilmington.
Both evenings featured a reception, dinner and a cracker barrel session.
The associaiton’s December newsletter noted that OCOA members will reconvene March 7-8 at the Columbus Airport Marriott for their annual Spring Conference and Trade Show. During the conference, members also will elect new officers and trustees. The conference will feature educational seminars on topics such as insurance, labor laws and campground activities.
