Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort in Canton, Texas, has joined as a co-host of the first East Texas Exposition, to be known as the EastTXPO and held Sept. 25-28. The new event is being sponsored by East Texas Experience, a division of East Texas Biz Inc.
The event will be held in the Canton Civic Center for three days and a fourth day at the “Platinum Row” at Mill Creek Ranch Resort. According to a news release, each day will have a unique focus:

  • Thursday: East Texas Business – Technology and operating today’s small business.
  • Friday: Trends – the many factors that make East Texas one of the most exciting growth areas in North America.
  • Saturday: Tourism – highlighting the many unique and fascinating facets of life in East Texas
  • Sunday: Travel – introducing the multi-million dollar “Platinum Row” at Mill Creek Ranch Resort and the growing impact of RVing on East Texas.
“We are very excited to announce not only the exposition but the involvement of Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort,” said Clark Scarborough, president of East Texas Biz and, with wife Linda, founder of the exposition. “We have watched this market evolve over the past decade and Mill Creek’s development is solid evidence that East Texas has arrived and great days are ahead.”
Bud Surles, general manager of Mill Creek Ranch Resort, added, “The partners and long-time residents of East Texas have made a significant investment in our facility specifically because of many of the factors that will be the focus of the exposition. We are pleased to be involved and to use this opportunity to introduce Mill Creek Ranch Resort to the community and the region,”
The event will host numerous speakers and provide seminars of interest to those who live, work and play in East Texas as well as those considering doing so. “We are about all things East Texas,” said Scarborough. “We look forward to the exposition becoming an annual focal point that shares our bounty with the rest of the region and the nation as a whole.”
