Disabled military veterans would receive free lodging at Kentucky state park lodges and campgrounds under a bill approved by the House on Monday (March 24).
The legislation, which was approved 98-0, provides for up to three nights of free lodging each year, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.
Rep. Charles Siler, R-Williamsburg, is championing the proposal on behalf of the state's permanently and totally disabled veterans.
The proposal now goes to the Senate for consideration.
The legislation is House Bill 228.
