Thomas and Claire Brodesser, owners of Beachcomber Camping Resort, Cape May, N.J., have made a $1 million gift to the Cape Regional Medical Center in support of the “Raising the Standard of Healthcare … One Floor at a Time” capital campaign.
They founded Beachcomber Camping Resort in 1973.
Over the years, Beachcomber has had yearly fundraisers for the hospital, including auctions and raffles. Their yearly contributions have exceeded $15,000 since the fund raising effort began 30 years ago. In addition, the Brodessers have just completed a three-year pledge to give the hospital an additional $100,000 gift.
Tom Brodesser served 31 years on the hospital board until retiring last year.
“Claire and I are excited to give back to our community with a gift to Cape May Regional Medical Center. The medical center has provided great care to our family and the many campers of our campground,” said Tom Brodesser.
Beachcomber is a 700-site resort located 3 miles from Cape May and Wildwood, N.J.
