Hill Country Hillside Ltd. purchased the Hill Country RV Resort in New Braunfels, Texas, from B. Schumacher Ltd. in December. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The new owner is currently renovating the 300-plus site RV park and phasing out the 90-site mobile home community, according to Bryan Kastleman, a partner in Hill Country Hillside Ltd. The mobile home portion will be replaced with park models to be supplied by a Texas-based company, he told Woodall’s Campground Management.
“We thought it was a good deal and we thought we could substantially increase the value by fixing it up and adding amenities,” said Kastleman, who is a real estate investor based in Austin.
The park is more than 20 years old and is open year-round, though its busiest time is over the winter, he said. “We plan to increase the occupancy in spring and summer months by doing additional marketing and adding the rental park models,” he said. Marketing of the park models will begin in April.
Kastleman and Associates will manage the park.
