Lingering deep snow has delayed the opening of a campground in Yellowstone National Park, according to The Associated Press.
More than 18 inches of snow remains on the ground at Norris Campground. The campground had been scheduled to open this Friday (May 16). Now, the campground isn’t expected to fully open for another couple weeks.
Park officials say campsites are available at Madison and Mammoth. The Tower Fall Campground and the Fishing Bridge RV Park are scheduled to open on Friday.
Other Yellowstone campgrounds will open as conditions allow
