Ann Emerson has been named vice president and publisher for Affinity Group Inc.’s (AGI) Woodall Publications and Affinity Guest Services (AGS).
In addition to her responsibility for the Woodall North American Campground Directory and its website, Emerson will assume management for AGS, the producer of guest services guides to the campground industry that Affinity purchased two years ago. She will continue to assist in the acquisition of campgrounds for the Camp Club USA network, as well as advance the partnership that Woodall has forged with Camping Life Magazine.
Emerson began her career in 1986 as editorial manager for Woodall’s directories and has held a variety of positions within the organization. During her 20-plus years with the company, she has taken on increasing responsibility, culminating in direct responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution of Woodall’s Campground Directory and associated website.
She is very involved in the campground industry, serving as vice chair of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) Business Forum and chair of the ARVC Supplier Council and currently sits on the ARVC board.
In 2006 Emerson was awarded the ARVC Chairman’s Award in recognition for her efforts in launching the Woodall/ARVC Occupancy Survey. She also serves as a board director for Camp California Marketing, the marketing arm for California ARVC (CALARVC). In 2002 she and her family relocated to Ventura from the Chicago area. She earned her degree in journalism/business administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.
