An RV park clubhouse near Springfield, Ohio, is in ashes after fire ripped through the structure early Saturday (June 14).
Firefighters responded to the blaze at the 210-site Tomorrow’s Stars RV Resort, according to the Springfield News Sun.
The fire was concentrated near the southwest corner of the 8,442 square-foot building and spread rapidly. Campers used the building for meals and activities, according to witnesses.
Witnesses reported hearing a “pop” just before the fire erupted, leaving lightning as a possible cause, fire officials said. There were some strong storms in the area at the time.
Firefighters from several area departments worked more than an hour to bring the blaze under control.
No one was in the building and no injuries were reported.
