Henderson to Head Monaco’s Luxury Resorts
Monaco Coach Corp. announced the formation of Signature Resorts to develop and manage its growing luxury RV resorts segment.
Signature Resorts will be headed up by E. Randall Henderson Jr., president of resort operations, the company announced in a news release. Henderson has served as president of resort development for Monaco since 2004, and has been responsible for the construction, marketing, sales and management of Motor Coach Country Club, Indio, Calif., and Las Vegas Motor Coach Resort, Las Vegas, Nev., both Monaco-owned developments. Prior to joining Monaco, Henderson served as the president for Outdoor Resorts of America. The new Signature Resorts company will be based in Nashville, Tenn.
“We are now expanding under the Signature Resorts brand with the experience, the resources and the team to set a new standard for luxury. Signature Resorts will serve those owners who demand the very finest in luxury RV living,” Henderson said.
Henderson, who pioneered luxury RV condominium ownership, has developed 16 RV resorts in eight states over the past 25 years, added, “We are extremely excited about Signature Resorts and the vision shown by Monaco Coach Corp., their management, officers and board of directors. There is great opportunity in the luxury RV resort segment and we are moving forward aggressively to provide owners of Class A coaches unmatched lifestyle experiences.”
Two new Signature Resorts are now under construction – one in Naples, Fla., and the other in Bay Harbor, Mich.
Bay Harbor is a luxury residential, golf, yachting, equestrian and entertainment development. Lying just south of Petoskey along five miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, Bay Harbor totals more than 1,200 acres with 36 holes of championship golf, a marina, a full equestrian center and sophisticated shopping and dining venues.
The Naples Signature Resorts development will provide luxury accommodations with direct navigable water access to the Gulf of Mexico. The resort is located on the Southwest Florida Coast in one of the nation’s most exclusive resort areas and where currently there is unfulfilled demand for luxury Class A motorcoach resort facilities.
In addition to new developments in Florida and northern Michigan, Signature Resorts also has properties in Southern California and Las Vegas. The Motorcoach Country Club in Indio, Calif. has 400 luxury sites, an 18-hole golf course, two miles of waterways and full clubhouse with full dining facilities and athletic facilities. The Las Vegas Signature Resort has over 400 sites, an executive golf course, pool, tennis and spa facilities. It is well known for its entertainment offerings which annually include acts such as The Marvellettes, The Platters and The Lettermen.
