The Kensett (Ark.) City Council approved a proposal by resident Robert Underwood to place an RV park on commercial property in this town located 30 miles northeast of Little Rock.
“I want to see Kensett grow,” Underwood stated. “I’m asking you guys to help me help Kensett.”
Underwood, who is building contractor, added that he wants Kensett to be more like the place it used to be when he was a boy. Underwood said he has several investments, and has done much for the city, according to the Searcy Daily Citizen.
“Our intention is to do a nice RV park,” Underwood said, adding that the city would also benefit from the park.
There are several natural gas and oil companies in the area now, and many of the workers stay in RV parks. So, with another RV park in the city, Kensett would receive more revenue, Underwood said.
He didn’t divulge details of his planned RV park.
