Work Begins on North Little Rock RV Park
Work began June 23 on a 68-site RV park along the Arkansas River in North Little Rock, Ark.
The city is building the RV park and plans to have it open in time for a Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) rally Sept. 24 to 28, according to the Dogtown Wire, North Little Rock.
After this rally, the city is hoping to have at least 20 RVs per day stay at the park for $25 a night for 40 weeks, said Commerce and Government Relations Director Joe Smith during the May 12 City Council meeting.
The projected profits from these post-rally stays will be used to pay the $200,000 five-year loan the city took out to pay for the park’s construction. However, the $200,000 does not include the labor or fuel city departments will use to complete the park.
