Since the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) started its new Guest Surveys program in February, more than 15,000 campers have registered to take the online surveys and 500 ARVC member parks have registered to view their results.
“Last week alone, over 1,900 guests registered to take a survey. That’s a lot of interest,” reported Linda Profaizer, ARVC president and CEO, in a letter to ARVC members.
“However, right now we are concerned about the nearly 800 ARVC member parks who have received guest surveys, but have not registered to view their results,” she added.
It’s a free member benefit but ARVC members must register at in order to receive a confidential password to view their park’s survey results.
“If you have not registered to view your scores, do it today,” Profaizer said in the letter. “Surely, you don’t want to have guest feedback waiting for you but not be able to view it.”
In an interview with Woodall’s Campground Management, she added, “With any new program, there are early adapters and people who understand this is a real benefit, while others have that ‘wait and see attitude.’ There is no catch.
“We’re not surprised, honestly, with any new program it takes a while to take off,” she continued.
She said ARVC will sponsor some special recognition at the InSites Convention & Expo in November in Nashville, Tenn., for participating parks.
Meanwhile, in her letter Profaizer congratulated the following ARVC members who have done “a fantastic job promoting this program.” Their scores are now displayed on the Go Camping America site. They are:
