It’s become a rite of passage – that annual fall (and winter) migration of “snowbirds” to the Twin Oaks RV Park and Campground, located just off I-75 (exit 127) south of Perry in central Georgia. Mich. State Parks Drop Mid-Week Storage Fees

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has dropped a $4-a-day fee for storing RVs on sites during the week. At participating parks, people who pay to camp on Friday and Saturday nights can leave their units on site from Sunday through Thursday for free, then come back to the campground the next weekend. Like a can of sardines, nearly 40 people sat, stood and squished into the small Port of Siuslaw office for the regular commission meeting Sept. 24 to discuss the rate increase at the Port of Siuslaw Campground and Marina, according to the Siuslaw (Ore.) An RV park taking shape on Loop 485 in Gladewater, Texas, will be unique and a drawing card for RVers to stop here and shop Gladewater, as well as take sightseeing and shopping trips to neighboring East Texas cities, developers say. ACLU Helps Full-Timers Retain Voting Rights

Full-time RV residents with ties to the state of Tennessee will be allowed to vote in the November presidential election, thanks to an agreement reached between the Tennessee chapter of the ACLU and Bradley County Election Commission. Oregon RV Park Gets City’s OK

The city of Forest Grove, Ore., has given the green light to a new 21-space recreational vehicle park on the east side of town. The City Council on Monday (Sept. 22) overturned the planning commission’s denial of a conditional use permit for the park after it became clear the city would be able to limit visitors’ length of stay, according to The Oregonian, Portland.
