KOA Announces 4 $10,000 Winners
Four Kampgrounds of America guests from the U.S., Canada and even New Zealand camped enough in August to win $10,000 each in KOA’s Big $40K Giveaway promotion.
Lynn Gray, a KOA Kabin camper from New Zealand temporarily living in the U.S. She and her family qualified for the contest by staying seven nights in August at the Saco/Old Orchard, Maine, KOA, owned and operated by Larry and Nancy Babyak.
Winner Barry Luff, of Doylestown, Pa., qualified for the contest during a grand swing of the West and Midwest with his family. In August, they stayed in their RV at the Casper, Wyo., KOA (owned by Al & Susan Dynarski); Dubois, Wyo., KOA (with owner Richard Collignon); Gothenburg, Neb., KOA (owned by Barry and Gwen McDiarmid); and Mount Rushmore/Hill City, S.D. KOA (with general manager Josh Diass and his staff).
Toronto, Ontario, resident Grace Lam was a KOA Kabin camper in August at the Erie, Pa., KOA with hosts Erwin and Jaye Keller.
The second Canadian winner, Kathleen Wright of Elizabethtown, Ontario, husband Jamie and their two young children packed up their tent and headed for Lake Placid KOA, owned by Richard and Sylvia Nagaminem for seven nights in August.
The four winners drawn earlier this week include two Kabin campers, one RVer and one tent camper. KOA’s contest offered four $10,000 cash prizes to campers who stayed at least four nights at any KOA in August.
According to a news release, the winners were:
“The Big $40K Giveaway was fun for our campers, and fun for our KOA campground owners and staffs too,” said KOA President Shane Ott. “Everybody loves KOA camping, and when you combine that with a chance to win $10,000 just for doing what you love, how can you lose?”
