The Riverside RV Park in downtown North Little Rock, Ark., was officially opened Friday (Sept. 19), as thousands of RV owners are set to descend on the area for the Family Motor Coach Association’s Six-State Rally.
The first-of-its-kind facility is expected to be filled to capacity this week, according to KATV-TV, Little Rock. The park can hold 80 motorcoaches, and offers hookups for electricity and water.
North Little Rock officials estimate $5 million will be spent in the area during the motorcoach rally.
Mayor Patrick Hays, North Little Rock, said of the rally, “It’s going to be a tremendous boost. It’s like us having a hotel of a thousand rooms without walls. Folks will come in and enjoy the state, but the other thing is, they’re going to stop on the way in and stop on the way out.”
