Construction is now well under way on Silver Palms RV Village in Okeechobee, Fla.
The resort will consist of 512 sites, a 9,000-square-foot Grand Old Florida style clubhouse, and recreational amenities for the RV community. The first phase is to be open by winter.
“We offer oversized lots to accommodate the needs of our distinguished RV buyers. Some of our lots have beautiful views of our lakes and nature preserve areas. Everyone will have tremendous access to all of the luxury resort amenities,” said developer Bill Harvey in a news release.
Silver Palms RV Village is located less than quarter mile mile from Lake Okeechobee, the second largest freshwater lake in the United States.
The Silver Palms RV community offers five-star amenities, including professional landscaping, a large, heated resort-style swimming pool and Jacuzzi, four pristine lakes and private RV lots. Silver Palms also features a fully equipped fitness center, a billiards room and a private, members-only lounge. A full-time activities director will be on staff.
“With five RVs for every available RV lot in the U.S., more and more RV owners are considering the purchase of their own RV lot in a quality setting,” Harvey said. “An ownership RV resort offers a sensible alternative to other second-home options for travelers who wish to own a home in a Northern climate but also escape the winter season in a secluded, gated community in Florida.”
Silver Palms will be unveiling several RV tools and resources for RV hobbyists. While traveling, RVers will be able to calculate the cost difference between renting and buying an RV lot. Silver Palms will also host a “Rate your RV” contest for RV owners later this fall. Participants are invited to share photos of their RV’s on what will be the first online community for RV hobbyists.
Not only does Silver Palms offer spacious lots for today’s large Class A motorhomes, it welcomes Class B’s, C’s, travel trailers and fifth-wheels, as well as recreational park trailers (some restrictions apply).
