With the change in presidential administrations, this year’s National Issues Conference, scheduled for April 28-29 in Washington, D.C., and sponsored by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC), will be important to the industry.
“So much is happening in Washington, D.C., these days with the stimulus package, budget and new players that will affect our business and us personally,” ARVC notes in the current ARVC Report. “Learn what is really going on from a variety of government leaders.”
ARVC will honor U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas with its RVer of the Year Award and Rep. Sam Farr, D-Calif., co-chairman of the Congressional Travel and Tourism Caucus, with its National Service Award.
One of the purposes of the conference is to give attendees the chance to call on their congressional leaders on Capital Hill. ARVC will provide participants with issue papers and help set up any Hill appointments. The conference hotel is the Sheraton National Hotel Arlington.
People attending the meeting in Maryland April 26 and 27 of the Campground Association Management Professionals (CAMP) will be eligible for a one-time rate of $75 for the first day’s activities.
More information will be available on the website.
