America’s most famous and beloved stoners, Cheech and Chong, have taken to the road again and will make a stop at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, S.D., Aug. 4, during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The duo produced hit comedy albums and low-budget movies in the late 1970s and early 1980s and drew wide appeal from the hippie, free love and drug culture movements. Both comics, Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong have had successful solo careers, according to the Black Hills Pioneer, Spearfish, S.D.
The comedy team has returned to a limited performance tour after 22 years and the Buffalo Chip “is delighted to have been chosen to be among their few tour stops,” said Rod Woodruff, campground owner. “The fact is, they’re just hilarious.”
Cheech and Chong join Aerosmith, George Thorogood and Toby Keith for this year’s entertainment at the Buffalo Chip.
