MOARC Holds 41st Convention/Trade Show
The Missouri Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (MOARC) held its 41st Annual Convention and Trade Show at the Hampton Inn in St. Robert, Mo., Feb. 27 to March 1. Nineteen parks from throughout the state were represented during the three-day event.
“Despite a 10-inch snowfall – the largest of the season – to hit the area, our annual convention was a resounding success,” Larry Helms, MOARC president, told Woodall’s Campground Management. The snowfall failed to dampen conference attendee’s enthusiasm. However, hazardous road conditions did cause an adjustment to the convention schedule preventing Robert Smith, Missouri director of tourism, and state Rep. David Day from giving their keynote addresses.
Trade vendors in attendance of this year’s convention were recognized and presented plaques during the vendor appreciation and welcome reception. Trade vendors in attendance also “greatly contributed to MOARC annual trade show auction,” said Linda Alcorn, executive co-director. Auction proceeds were up 30% setting a record for the annual MOARC fundraiser.
