CalARVC Website Offers User-Friendly Tools
An online survey by the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CalARVC) has identified more than 70 campgrounds that still have campsites available this Memorial Day weekend, according to examiner.com.
“It’s shaping up to be a very good year for the campground business because camping is the most affordable vacation option,” said Debbie Sipe, CalARVC executive director.
The CalARVC website, www.Camp-California.com, allows campers to search for campgrounds by region and by specific amenity so they can find the type of park that best suits their travel needs.
A recently updated search function pairs up the latest listings of festivals, concerts and other interesting outdoor activities with neighboring campgrounds and RV resorts. “There are festivals, concerts and other interesting outdoor activities taking place every month in California, and there’s almost always a private campground or RV resort nearby,” said Sipe.
And if vacationers don’t have a tent or RV, that’s not a problem.
“Private campgrounds and RV resorts are increasingly offering cabins, park models, yurts and RVs for rent at prices that are more affordable than hotels, and Camp-California can help you find parks with these accommodations,” Sipe added.
Other new enhancements to Camp-California.com include easy-to-read formats, zoomable maps and detailed search functions that enable consumers to search for campgrounds not only by location, but by the amenities they provide.
“We want to give consumers the ability to customize their searches as much as possible,” Sipe said. Camp-California.com includes a searchable database of nearly 400 private campgrounds and RV resorts throughout California, and more private parks are being added to the website each month.
