Virginia Park Set to Open New Water Features
Natural Bridge Jellystone Park in Natural Bridge, Va., will hold the grand opening for its new water slides and spray park on May 16.
The Water Zone water slides are side by side, allowing riders to race each other for 175 feet, according to a news release. The campground’s water park will also feature a “Spray Ground” where visitors of all ages can find relief from the hot summer by splashing around the water activated pool figures and features.
The new water slides and spray ground are available only to those who have a current reservation with the park. Wristbands are available for unlimited use of the water slide, spray ground and miniature golf course and can be purchased at the main campground store. Although all ages can enjoy the spray ground and miniature golf, access to the water slides is limited to those who are 44 inches and taller and weigh between 70 and 250 pounds.
Attendance at the campground is expected to increase this summer, due mainly to the addition of the waterslide.
“In this difficult economy, we understand that families are searching for alternatives in family vacations,” said Margie Dettman, owner of the 210-site Good Sam Park. “The water slide and spray ground give us one more great amenity that sets us apart from other vacation options in the area.”
The campground has been open since 2002.
