Council Approves RV Park Over Objections
The Cheboygan, Mich., City Council voted 4-1 Tuesday (June 9) to approve the proposed Cheboygan Shores Motorcoach Community, a 103-site park to be built next year with a clubhouse and office to follow, according to the Cheboygan Daily Tribune.
The council, after conferring with legal counsel, told neighborhood opponents that allowing the project as presented could well be the least of undesirable de velopment options.
Councilwoman Theo Lepp dissented, citing her absence from the last meeting when the public hearing was held. “I knew it would pass; I knew it was going to pass,” Lepp said. “I just have some questions about it at this point.”
