All but two of Arizona’s state parks were closed Tuesday night (June 30) due to Arizona’s budget impasse
Campers at 13 locations were asked to leave their campgrounds by midnight. The parks will remain closed until further notice, according to KOLD-TV, Tucson.
Parks in Show Low’s Fool Hollow Lake State Recreation Area and Windsor Beach at Lake Havasu State Park will remain open. They have special use permits in place that will allow them to operate until July 5 or whenever the state’s park budget is passed.
