Campground to Get $500,000 from Provincial Grant
The village of Charlo, New Brunswick, will get $500,000 from the province to help in infrastructure improvements to the Blue Heron campground, which is operated by the village, according to the Moncton, New Brunswick, Times & Transcript.
The improvements include an upgrade to the location’s comfort station, washroom/change cabana, electronic gate system and electrical system. The 115-site campground is located on Chaleur Bay.
The province says directing funding to the village’s campground, located about 19 miles east of Campbellton, is strategic in furthering economic opportunities within northern New Brunswick.
The funding comes from the province’s Northern New Brunswick Infrastructure Initiative which funds investments in three priority areas: transportation, business and strategic infrastructure.
