Driver Pleads Guilty in Minnesota Campground Fatality
A woman accused of causing the death of a baby and injuring his mother while they were camping at a Renville County park in Minnesota has pleaded guuilty, according to KEYC-TV, Mankato, Minn.
Nicolle Prechel admitted she backed over their tent at Beaver Falls Park on July 5, killing 3-month-old Whyatt Sander and injuring his mother, 21-year-old Sheena Hinshaw.
Prechel pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular homicide — causing bodily harm while under the influence of alcohol.
Four other charges were dropped.
Sentencing is set for Nov. 12.
