Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach, Calif., is launching a number of promotions in honor of Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, according to News Blaze, Folsom, Calif.

The resort is thanking military personnel for fighting for our freedom by offering a number of free promotions. Among the offerings:

  • Veteran's Eat Free – In observance of Veteran's Day, those showing proof of their service in one of the armed forces will receive a free lunch (limit one meal per veteran) on Nov. 11 at the resort's five-star Back Bay Bistro. The waterfront dining establishment has earned critical and public acclaim thanks to its stellar menu of American fare.
  • Second Night Free – Veterans and active duty personnel visiting the Dunes' RV park or staying in one of the resort's mobile cottages will receive a second night free throughout the month.
  • Free Thanksgiving Feast – Military personnel donning their uniforms will enjoy a complimentary Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 26) feast with all of the trimmings at the Back Bay Bistro. Advance reservations are required at which time you must identify yourself and military affiliation so that accommodations can be ensured.

"We wanted to do something special to honor those serving our nation through their involvement in the military," said Andrew Theodorou, Dunes vice president and general manager. "We hope to see both veterans and active service men and women and their families who are sure to enjoy the many activities and amenities that are available here at Newport Dunes."
