Kevin McQuaide Was Northeast Ohio Civic Leader

Kevin D. McQuaide, CEO of Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 14.

He died at the age of 52 after a bravely fought four-year battle with cancer, according to a story in the current issue of the Ohio Campground Owners Association newsletter.

McQuaide was long recognized for his professional accomplishments, civic achievements and community involvement. As the CEO of the 500-site Clay’s Park Resort, he was responsible for many quality improvement initiatives at Clay’s.

He also brought new events to the company, including his beloved Rock-N-Resort Music Festival, the Fox Creek Outdoor Experience and Splat Paint Ball. 

He was the former KMBA Management Services president and chief business development officer for Barberton (Ohio) Citizens Hospital. He played a key role in the establishment of the Barberton Community Foundation.
