When temporary RV parks at Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks in Vancouver, British Columbia, were announced to accommodate Olympic visitors, some were concerned campers could be stranded if the city received the same huge snowfall it did last winter.

But with no sign of snow on the horizon, visitors will be able to travel back and forth between the RV parks and Olympic venues with no weather-related worries. Traffic, on the other hand, is another story, according to the Vancouver Courier.

With that in mind, the park board is still accepting reservations for visitors with last-minute plans, and an RV, looking for accommodation. According to the board, the majority of visitors booking space at the parks are from Washington state, Vancouver Island and the interior of Canada.

Each of the parks offers security, shuttle service during peak times and propane delivery. Visitors can also use the clubhouse adjacent to the Jericho Sailing Centrer to buy food, watch TV and shower. The cost is about $100 per night.
