New Hampshire Campground Tax Vote Today
It’s a busy day today (March 10) for New Hampshire lawmakers with a number of bills up for votes, according to WCAX,-TV, Burlington, Vt.
The House and the Senate will vote on separate bills repealing a tax on campsites. The 9% tax was extended to campgrounds last July to help pay for state spending.
The House will vote on a bill decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana. Under the bill, adults would be allowed to posses a quarter-ounce or less of the drug. Gov. John Lynch vetoed an earlier bill legalizing medical marijuana. He opposes this bill as well.
The House will also consider banning smoking at state beaches. A House committee is recommending more study of the measure.
