Larry Smith, owner of Stone Canyon Lodges in Haleyville, Ala., confirmed today (April 12) that Stone Canyon has received an order for 67 park model cabins from Legacy RV Resorts. While not releasing the exact dollar amount, he did say the value of the order was “in the ballpark of $2 million.

In a news release, Smith stated that he was already forecasting a busier year than 2009 and this order will certainly improve that outlook. “Many of our past customers are ordering cabins for 2010 and we are also seeing many new customers as they learn about the quality and value we offer.”

Bruce Bryant of Legacy RV Resorts says the cabins will be going to various properties in the Legacy RV system. Bryant says that after purchasing park model cabins from a number of manufacturers over the years he has been most pleased with the Stone Canyon product and their willingness to build models to meet his specific needs.

Bryant is bullish on the 2010 camping season and stated that reservations are up in most parts of the country.
