For the first time in its history, the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) conducted its semi-annual Business Forum on the campus of a major RV company in northern Indiana.
The session was held June 7-9 at the Keystone RV Co. plant in Goshen, Ind., and was in conjunction with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) Committee Week, whose eventswere held in nearby Elkhart and South Bend.
The ARVC Business Forum brings together members of the ARVC Executive Committee and key players in the RV parks and campground business to discuss topical issues.
The meeting was held at Keystone at the behest of Shane Ott, director of campground relations for Thor Industries Inc., Keystone’s parent company.
The lively forum featured informal presentations by each of the 14 members present, an ARVC update by ARVC President and CEO Linda Profaizer and a tour of a Keystone plant where the company’s Springdale line of travel trailers and fifth-wheels are manufactured.
Keystone staff, including President Bob Martin, briefed the forum on Keystone and its role as a major RV manufacturer, producing approximately 25% of the nation’s towable RVs.
