The conservation board in Jackson County, Iowa, has closed one of its park campgrounds because of vandalism.

Officials have closed the campgrounds at Joinerville Park, which is four miles west of Maquoketa, Iowa, the Quad City Times reported.

The portable toilet at the site was burned down in the past couple of months, and its replacement is now missing. Officials say there are no facilities there, and neighbors have complained campers are using private property as a bathroom. The campground will be closed for the rest of the camping season.

The boat ramp at Joinerville Park will remain open for river access.
