Michigan International Speedway Aids RVers
With nearly 9,000 sites across 10 campgrounds, it can be a little intimidating for a race fan to choose a campsite that fits, so Michigan International Speedway (MIS) near Brooklyn, Mich., has launched a Campground Advisor widget on its website to assist race fans camping at the track during the track’s two NASCAR Sprint Cup races in 2011.
The track’s Campground Advisor is on the “Go Camping” page on www.MISpeedway.com. The one-stop option is for fans who may be overwhelmed by the enormity of MIS’ camping options.
“We’re always looking for new, innovative ways to give our fans the best opportunity to make their visits to MIS more enjoyable, all while making the track’s website fun and interactive,” MIS Director of Communications Sammie Lukaskiewicz said in a news release. “By answering just a couple of questions, fans should be able to find what they need to make the most out of their camping experience.”
Fans who have never camped at MIS event or are years removed from the experience may not know how camping at MIS has evolved. With amenities always being added to the MISCamping.com-sponsored campgrounds, the experience has never been better for family and friends.
Bringing your family to MIS? The MISCamping.com Graves Farm Campground might be just the ticket with a playground, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits, walking trails and a lake. Want to come with friends and have a party? The Infield or MISCamping.com M-50 Creekside Campgrounds feature a great party atmosphere for our guests.
Simply answer the Campground Advisor questions and see what MIS recommends. These are only suggestions and any fan with more questions can always visit the respective campground pages on MISpeedway.com or by calling (800) 354-1010.
“The campground adviser will provide a recommendation, but it’s up to the camper to create their own memories and make their own fun,” Lukaskiewicz said.
New fans who place a $30 deposit now to reserve a campsite for 2011 should use the Campground Advisor for a recommendation for the campsite that best fits their needs.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.
