KOA Seeking e-Marketing Executive

Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) is seeking someone to fill its newly created e-marketing position.

The new hire would “contribute significantly to the formulation of our national marketing strategy, serve as the key individual responsible for developing tactical multi-channel web based plans that are designed to both drive revenue to our franchise partners as well as revenue for KOA.com.,” according to a Dec. 21 job posting on.

The position’s starting pay would be $65,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design and manage the future enhancements to koa.com(camper information and reservation marketplace) and KOA Kompass (Social media web site). Merge and integrate our social media efforts with our koa.com interface.
  • Manage budget and P/L statements relevant to our e-marketing strategy
  • Build a strong web presence
  • Provide individual KOA’s with a robust marketplace to adequately detail services, facilities and promotions in an effective, intuitive and attractive web environment.
  • Segment web based marketing content providing consumers with relevant information according to known data base profiles.
  • Build a web environment that provides opportunities for KOA partners to receive and add value to the KOA community of camping guest and outdoor enthusiasts.
  • Manage to the degree possible, KOA’s presence on major search engine mapping and content sites
  • Create valuable, timely and relevant content on all KOA consumer based web marketing vehicles to insure a high conversion (use of KOA related services and products) rate for all visitors and to achieve the best possible searchable data resulting in the highest level of SEO results.

Year One Critical Success Factors

  • Maximize SEO content.
  • Build Social media plan for integration of KOA.com and KOA Kompass.
  • Execute site and accommodation content on individual campground home web pages that provides users with knowledge of unique opportunities associated with the reservation process.
  • Integrate KOA’s rate your stay ratings to make them part of campgrounds individual web page
  • Insure KOA’s Value Kard presence and loyalty program is optimized to achieve the best on line sales opportunities and redesign the “My Value Kard” site to allow better interaction between KOA and its best customers.
  • Create a design and plan to optimize revenue opportunities for KOA advertising partners.
