A Wyoming man is suing a famous Sturgis, S.D., campground for negligence claiming an employee drove over his foot with a pickup truck during the 2009 motorcycle rally, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reported.

Jeremy Pepin of Saratoga, Wyo., was walking through the legendary Buffalo Chip Campground during the rally when an employee ran over his foot, according to a federal lawsuit filed this week.

Pepin claims the employee did not honk or attempt to avoid him prior to the collision and that there were no clearly marked zones for vehicles at the campground.

He’s since raked up thousands in medical bills to repair his crushed foot, the suit claims.

Pepin wants unspecified damages from Buffalo Chip for failing to properly train the employee and failing to designate footpaths for campers.

No court dates have been set.
