N.J. Campground Aids Regional Medical Center

Co-owners David and Maggie Robinson and Kacie McLaughlin, activity director, of Holly Shores Campground in Cape May, N.J., presented a check to Cape Regional Medical Center in the amount of $8,344, which represents the final installment of their three-year, $25,000 pledge. Stand-Alone Heating System Targets Park Models

RV Comfort Systems has introduced a new stand-alone, all-electric forced air heating system for park model trailers. According to a press release, the new system does not require a gas furnace to be hooked inline with the electric heater. It has its own fan with cabinet and works with the RV Comfort System’s CheapHeat controller and electric heater. This system is UL certified and RVIA compliant in both the United States and Canada. RV Shipments Show 21.6% Gain in November

Shipments to retailers in November this year were 16,300 units, up 21.6% from this same month last year. On a seasonally adjusted annual rate basis, November’s total represented shipments of more than 290,000 units, an increase of 13.8% over the previous month and ahead of November last year by 22.5%. The Lake Okeechobee Outpost company that runs the Pahokee, Fla., marina and campground has asked to get out of its lease and the mayor says the city is going to allow the company to do that. Mayor J. Minnesota Jellystone Park Rebuilding After Fire

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Austin, Minn., is taking shape, as owners Tammy and Ken Westrich work to rebuild the main lodge that was destroyed in a fire in October. “It’s coming alive now,” Tammy Westrich told the Austin Daily Herald. “We’re looking forward to the opening of the new features. Two Arraigned in Pa. Campground Burglaries

Two men were arrested in the burglaries last month of 49 camping trailers at the Red Ridge Lake Campground in Pennsylvania’s Schuylkill County have been arraigned, police said Tuesday (Dec. 27). The Allentown Morning Call reported that James McCabe Jr., 19, of Ringtown, Schuylkill County, was arrested Dec. 1 and accused of the break-ins, which happened at the campground Nov. 15-18.
