Once again this year, the Manitoba government is waiving the entry fee to provincial parks, CJOB radio, Winnipeg, reported.

Reservations for cabins, yurts and group-use sites began Feb. 7. Seasonal draws began Feb. 28 and campground reservations will open April 4.

The number of people visiting provincial parks was up the last two years and 2010 marked a record for attendance. Over the last 10 years, there have been significant infrastructure upgrades in provincial parks such as modern washroom and shower buildings as well as electrical upgrades.
