Chicago rockers STYX will take the Wolfman Jack stage at the Buffalo Chip Campground on Sunday, Aug. 7,  during the campground's 30th annual celebration of freedom and motorcycling, the Rapid City Journal reported.

With 15 studio albums, seven live albums, 16 complations and 32 hit singles under their belt, STYX continues to be one of the hardest working and most prolific hit machines in rock history.

Tommy Shaw, James JY Young, Todd Sucherman, Lawrence Gowan and Ricky Phillips have now performed more live since 1999, than all the previous years of STYX's career combined.

STYX joins Bachman & Turner for the Aug. 7 show at the Chip.

Other acts confirmed for the 2011 Buffalo Chip party include Toby Keith, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper and George Thorogood & the Destroyers.
