Modular community property owners in Sussex County, Del., want to make a profit off of some of their land. They want to allow recreational vehicles and campers on some of the open areas, WBOC-TV, Dover, reported.

The property owners being back by the Delaware tourism office, which wants to increase the numbers of tourists in Sussex County because of the declining sales of manufactured homes.

However, the residents of these communities say RVs could bring danger, extra traffic, and bring down the value of their property. Residents of the Rehoboth Shore community in Long Neck and other surrounding community residents started a petition and have almost 400 signatures to show they are against the idea.

The Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a meeting today (March 24) to decide whether or not to move forward with the idea.
