Flooding has closed the Lake Thompson state campground and recreation area near the town of Lake Preston, S.D., the Greenfield Daily Reporter announced.

Reservations are not being taken and the state parks department says it’s uncertain when the campground will reopen.

Campers who’ve already made a reservation at Lake Thompson will be contacted at least seven days before their planned arrival day. They’ll have the option of moving the reservation to another date, reserving sites in another state park, or getting a refund.
