Flooding Forces Some Manitoba Park Closures
Conservation Manitoba says the weather and flooding in Southern Manitoba will impact some campground opening dates.
While many campgrounds are scheduled to open this weekend, a number of them will be delayed by a week or longer, CJOB, Winnipeg, reported.
Road closures due to flooding are a factor, too. Manitoba Parks is contacting affected campers with current reservations or seasonal campsites. Campground openings in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park and others in Western Manitoba will be delayed.
Lundar Beach, St. Ambroise and Watchorn parks along Lake Manitoba will not open this season.
