GO RVing Tests Targeted Direct Mail Effort
Go RVing targeted avid travelers as an advertiser in a vacation information package recently mailed to 1.7 million qualified households. Since the April mailing with Go RVing’s insert, over 1,200 recipients have requested additional information about RVs, according to a news release.
Go RVing is guaranteed a total of at least 3,000 consumer responses to its sponsored literature in the 2011 “World’s Greatest Vacations” mailing, which will be followed by two e-mail blasts with links to GoRVing.com.
Regular advertisers in the annual mailing include cruise lines, tour operators, destinations, the boating industry and airlines. A high proportion of recipients are affluent, active empty nesters – Go RVing’s secondary target market – who have the means and confidence to rent or buy an RV in today’s economy.
