Lake Champlain State Park Campgrounds Flooded
Vermont state-owned campgrounds along Lake Champlain will be closed over Memorial Day because of flooding, WNYT-TV- Albany, N.Y., reported.
The high water is still hiding a lot of damage to camps and cottages.
Some parks and picnic areas are still buried under more than 5 feet of water.
Parks officials are crossing their fingers hoping to open them up by June 10.
In the meantime, would-be campers and picnickers are being offered refunds or the chance to book a site at another, drier state park.
