Thomas Peckham spent Friday morning (May 13) on his Cub Cadet, mowing the grass  between his house and Moon Meadows Campground near Erie, Pa., the Erie Times-News reported.

The house and campground still belong to Peckham and his wife, Patricia, at least for now. A bank has gone to court to force the sale of the Peckhams’ possessions, including office equipment, at their Station Road properties, just west of Route 89.

“I haven’t received a notice from the banks,” Peckham said while sitting on his mower. “If I do, I’ll try to fight it. I’ve been here 15 years.”

The forced sale, which the Erie County Sheriff’s Office will conduct at the properties, is the result of an execution that First Niagara Bank filed against the Peckhams on May 6.
