Small Park Opens in North Central Oklahoma
Members of the Cushing, Okla., Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee welcomed Cushing Crossroads RV Park on Tuesday (May 10) with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Owners Denice and David Hough have employed the help of Denice’s parents Terry and Una Maxwell – not only to manage the park – but to give insight throughout the building process.
“I told them, ‘you build it and I’ll run it,'” laughed Una. “We’ve stayed in a lot of RV parks over the years – some real nice and others – well not so nice.”
The couple has traveled all over the country during Terry’s career as a pipeliner and later an inspector. “We kind of know what people want,” Una said.
Cushing Crossroads RV Park is now open for business. The RV park boasts 20 spaces — all drive-throughs with full hook ups. Future amenities include a bath house and playground. The location is off the beaten path, on Highway 33, 30 miles west of Tulsa, but campers will enjoy beautiful views in a country setting.
“And we’re pet friendly,” Una added.
Space rentals are offered on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis.
“We’re open and we’re here,” Terry said with a smile.
